Thank you for your ongoing interest in Eastern Michigan University's mission which actively enriches the lives of students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community each and every day. We are excited to share a free planned giving webinar on Tuesday, May 19 at 12:00 p.m. EST.  This session will focus on estate planning made simple.  The presenter will cover the importance of carefully crafted language to protect you and your family. Explanations surrounding sharing documentation with beneficiaries, as well as including Eastern Michigan University when appropriate, will be covered during the one-hour virtual call.

Attorney Kathleen Martone, a partner at Varnum Law in Birmingham, Michigan, will serve as the keynote presenter. Her experience spans creating customized estate plans for a wide range of individuals and helping her clients achieve goals including tax avoidance, business succession planning and charitable giving. 

Among other achievements, she has routinely represented high net-worth clients, been recognized by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in trusts and estates, and has given numerous presentations on estate planning.  We are honored and grateful to have Kathleen share her expertise with our alumni and friends.
